Finding the Best Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs offer the best opportunities to earn money from an online business, or to grow an existing one to new levels.

The most important rule of choosing an affiliate program is to know your target audience.

For a new website or blog, you should join a few affiliate programs that match your niche, then simply place a link on your site and be up and running in no time at all. The hardest part is searching and deciding which programs are the best ones to join.
Say you blog is about being a parent, look for affiliate programs that have to do with childrens things, educational software, books, toys, etc. and you may generate more revenue than adding affiliate banners that link to web hosting companies.

Theres literally thousands of affiliate programs to choose from, so check some of the programs shown here and save yourself some time searching.

The #1 affiliate program you should join in my opinion is Google Adsense.

LinkShare - Earn revenue for sales, leads, and traffic driven from merchant links placed on your Web site. Gain Free Access to LinkShare's Network - Capitalize on the explosive growth in e-commerce.

Some affiliate programs won’t allow you to join if you’re not an established marketer. But don’t let that discourage you at all. Actually that could be a good indication that they’re very serious, have good products, and they treat their affiliates well.

One important thing to remember is, don’t EVER pay to join any affiliate programs! Most good affilate programs are free to join.

Affiliate marketing can be extremely lucrative if you approach it properly.
First, have an attitude that it’s a serious business. And that will reflect in your efforts.
Secondly please be patient. Affiliate marketing is NOT a get rich quick scheme! Approach it systematically and just keep at it.
If you work hard, study other successful marketers, and don't give up, there really is no limit to what you can do and how much you can earn with affiliate programs.
